Governor Faisal Karim Kundi honors KP Police martyrs and pledges support for their families during a dignified ceremony.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi of Khyber Pakhtunwa paid rich tribute to the martyrs of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police on Friday, emphasizing the government's commitment to supporting their families. The event took place at the Governor House in Peshawar and was attended by various dignitaries including Dr Ibadullah, members of the provincial assembly, Commissioner Riaz Khan Mehsud, DIG Welfare KP Police Sher Akbar, and CCPO Dr Mian Saeed.

During the ceremony titled "Tribute to Our Valiant Police Martyrs," Governor Kundi expressed his admiration for the sacrifices made by police personnel in combating terrorism. He highlighted that the bravery of KP Police had not only secured national pride but also illuminated the path towards peace with their blood. Addressing the gathering, he stated, "The day is dedicated to honoring sacrifice, courage, and resilience."

Kundi emphasized that despite attempts to destabilize the country through India-backed Fitna al-Khawarij, Pakistan's armed forces had responded effectively under Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir's leadership a year ago. He added, "KP Police, security forces, and the entire nation stand united like a solid wall against terrorism."

The Governor paid special tribute to the families of martyrs, praising mothers who raised sons ready to sacrifice for their homeland, sisters enduring immense loss for national dignity, and children bearing the pain of losing fathers for a secure future. He assured them that the state, government, and nation stood with them.

Sher Akbar, DIG Welfare KP Police, appreciated Governor Kundi's initiative in organizing the event. "This ceremony is an honor to police martyrs and their families," he said. The Governor also distributed commemorative shields among the heirs of martyrs as a token of recognition for the sacrifices made by KP Police during the fight against terrorism.

In conclusion, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi reiterated that KP Police had not only played a remarkable role in the war against terrorism but had also demonstrated its professional capabilities in maintaining law and order across the province. He pledged to continue taking all possible measures for the welfare and well-being of the families of martyrs.
