Rawal Division police have intensified their efforts to curb gambling activities by arresting six individuals in separate operations conducted on Friday. According to a press release from the Rawal Police Station, Ratta Amral Police arrested five gamblers and seized Rs20,800 in stake money along with five mobile phones and playing cards.
In another operation carried out at Waris Khan Police Station, a gambler allegedly involved in online betting through the BPEXCH Live application was apprehended. The suspect had Rs9,050 in cash and a mobile phone recovered from his possession. Following these operations, six accused individuals were taken into custody by police.
SP Rawal Saad Arshad emphasized that gambling is a significant contributor to various social evils and pledged continued strict action against illegal activities without any discrimination. "The arrested individuals will be challaned with solid evidence," he stated. "We are committed to maintaining the law and order in the region."
This crackdown comes as part of ongoing efforts by Rawal Division police to combat gambling, a persistent issue that affects local communities negatively. Authorities aim to deter such activities through robust enforcement measures.
