Minister of State for Interior and Narcotics Talal Chaudhry informs the National Assembly that over 5,000 plots are now ready in Sector I-12 with final possession expected within 10 to 15 weeks.
Minister of State for Interior and Narcotics Talal Chaudhry informed the National Assembly on May 15 that more than 5,000 plots have been completed in Sector I-12. He the final phase of possession will be finalized within the next 10 to 15 weeks. This information was provided in response to a calling attention notice regarding the delay in handing over these plots by the Capital Development Authority.
Chaudhry acknowledged that the development work in Sector I-12 had been ongoing for an extended period, citing multiple challenges such as land possession issues and compensation matters for landowners. He also mentioned other development-related obstacles that contributed to the delays. The minister lawmakers' concerns about the delay were valid and justified.
In addition to addressing these plots, Chaudhry addressed another query regarding temporary cattle markets during Eid al-Adha. He informed the assembly that such markets are being established in suitable areas away from residential localities to ensure proper facilities including security and civic arrangements for citizens.
Chaudhry's remarks highlight the ongoing efforts to address long-standing issues related to land development and public infrastructure in Sector I-12, aiming to expedite the process of finalizing possession.
