A police constable injured in a bomb attack by terrorists on Aziz Abad police checkpost in Charsadda has succumbed to his injuries, officials say.
A police constable who was injured in a bomb blast at the Aziz Abad police checkpost in Charsadda has died during treatment. The incident occurred on April 22 when unidentified terrorists targeted the checkpost with explosive material. According to Charsadda Police, Constable Sajjad Khan sustained critical injuries and was immediately taken to the hospital after the attack.
Constable Sajjad Khan's funeral prayer was offered with full official honors at the Police Lines in Charsadda on Thursday. A large number of police officers, personnel, relatives of the martyr, and local residents attended the ceremony. District Police Officer Muhammad Waqas Khan, Special Branch Investigation Alamzeb Khan, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Headquarters Anwar Khan, DSP CTD Jamshed Khan, SDPOs, SHOs, and other officials participated in the event.
A smartly turned-out police contingent presented a salute to the martyr. Floral wreaths were laid on the coffin, followed by Fateha. Speaking at the occasion, District Police Officer Muhammad Waqas Khan paid tribute to Constable Sajjad Khan's sacrifice. He emphasized that the sacrifices made by Charsadda Police personnel are invaluable assets for the nation and highlighted their frontline role in combating terrorism.
