Azerbaijan's Minister of Justice discusses judicial cooperation and offers technical support for digitalisation of Pakistan's Constitutional Court, aiming to strengthen bilateral relations and promote innovation in judicial institutions.
Azerbaijan's Minister of Justice, Farid Ahmadov, recently met with Chief Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan, Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan, to discuss prospects for judicial cooperation, legal assistance, and modernization of court systems between the two countries. The meeting was also attended by Federal Minister for Law and Justice, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar. During the meeting, the Azerbaijani minister congratulated the chief justice on the successful completion of six months of the Federal Constitutional Court and appreciated its progressive and efficient working in a short period of time.
The Azerbaijani minister acknowledged the court's growing role in strengthening constitutional governance and the rule of law in Pakistan. He also highlighted Azerbaijan's Constitutional Court's extensive institutional and judicial experience, which could be shared with the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan for mutual cooperation and capacity building. Farid Ahmadov stressed the need to further strengthen bilateral relations and expand legal and constitutional cooperation between the two countries. The two sides discussed judicial collaboration, exchange of institutional expertise, and cooperation in modernizing judicial systems.
The Azerbaijani minister expressed his country's willingness to provide technical assistance to Pakistan, particularly in the integration of artificial intelligence into legal systems and the digitalisation of judicial processes. This assistance aims to help Pakistan achieve a paperless judicial system, which would enhance efficiency and accessibility in judicial institutions. Chief Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan welcomed the delegation and highlighted the progress made by the Federal Constitutional Court during its first six months.
