A special committee has been established by Quetta district administration to evaluate financial and structural damages following a powerful explosion near Chaman Phatak that claimed 14 lives.
The Quetta district administration has constituted a special committee to assess the extensive financial and structural damage caused by a powerful explosion near Chaman Phatak on Sunday. The blast, which left 14 people dead and many injured, necessitated immediate action from local authorities to ensure fair and transparent compensation for affected residents and businesses.
Deputy Commissioner Quetta, who also serves as Chairman of the District Compensation Committee, formed the panel to ensure accurate evaluation of losses suffered by local residents and business owners. Assistant Commissioner (City) Quetta has been appointed as the head of the committee, with members drawn from senior officials in the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Communication and Works Department, Metropolitan Corporation Quetta, and Agricultural Engineering Department.
The committee will visit the blast site to document all damaged structures and vehicles, preparing a detailed report for submission to the district administration. This report will be crucial in determining appropriate compensation packages and relief measures for the affected families. The explosion near Chaman Phatak caused widespread destruction in the densely populated area, shattering windows, damaging buildings, and destroying several parked vehicles.
The committee's work is expected to provide a clear picture of the extent of damage, enabling effective assistance to those who have been impacted by this tragic incident.
