Country singer Reba McEntire discusses her low-key wedding plans for fiancé Rex Linn in an interview, sharing details on the celebration and plans to include their pets.
Country music legend Reba McEntire has opened up about her upcoming wedding plans with fiancé Rex Linn. In a recent interview with Extra, McEntire revealed that they are planning a "low-key" ceremony for the couple's eventual nuptials. The 71-year-old singer spoke candidly about their engagement and what to expect from their special day.
"I think we’re kind of being pushed every time Rex gets a job because he always says work comes first," McEntire joked during the interview. "Heck, we might be engaged 30 years before we get married, but we’re okay with that, too." Despite not having set an exact date yet, McEntire expressed excitement for a big celebration.
"It will be low-key, lots of friends and family," she explained. "We want it to feel special without being extravagant." The singer also mentioned that their dogs would play a significant role in the event. "I have two granddogs, Watson and Belle, so they may be the ring bearers or something like that," McEntire shared. "But we have to have our animals there. We’ve got longhorns and donkeys, horses and everything at the place, cats, and we just, we have a lot of fun with them."
In addition to her pets, McEntire expressed enthusiasm for the overall celebration. "It will be low-key, lots of friends and family," she reiterated. The singer also reflected on their engagement announcement, which took place on Christmas Eve 2024.
"I am totally happy, I really am. Loving life, enjoy what I do," McEntire said, emphasizing her contentment in the present moment. Her upcoming nuptials with Rex Linn mark a new chapter for both of them as they look forward to starting their married life together.
