A panel led by Sabih Azhar secured victory in the District Cricket Association (DCA) Rawalpindi elections, defeating the group supported by Masood Anwar and Ashraf Qureshi.
Naveed Mushtaq Abbasi was elected as president of the association with 37 votes, while Billal Idrees received 34 votes for another position. Zulfiqar Ali won the secretary's slot in a close contest.
The elections were held at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Monday and marked a significant shift in local cricket governance.
