Two alleged criminals were killed during a police encounter in Saddar Samundri police station. Police arrested injured suspects but they succumbed to injuries.

Two alleged criminals were killed during a police encounter that took place in the Saddar Samundri police station area of Faizabad on Friday, according to a statement by the SHO (Station House Officer) of the Saddar Samundri police station, Adnan. The incident occurred when Adnan and his team conducted a raid in Chak No. 447-GB with the aim of arresting wanted accused individuals involved in a sodomy-cum-murder case.

The alleged criminals opened indiscriminate fire on the police party upon their arrival, leading to an exchange of gunfire between both sides. Despite directing the outlaws for surrender, they continued firing and eventually two of them were severely injured by their own bullets. They fell down on the ground during this encounter. The injured suspects were promptly arrested and shifted to a hospital for treatment but unfortunately, they succumbed to their injuries.

The killed criminals were identified as Nauman and Shahid. It was these individuals had allegedly murdered an 8-year-old boy named Ali Ahmad three days prior by committing unnatural offenses with him and later mutilating his body using a sharp-edge weapon to conceal evidence of the crime. The police also recovered weapons and a motorcycle from the scene.

A special team has been constituted to trace the whereabouts of the escaped criminals and apprehend them, as stated in the statement by the spokesman.
