Karachi police chief reveals foreign nationals and local women implicated in Anmol's drug trafficking network during a press conference.

Karachi Additional Inspector General (AIG) Azad Khan addressed a press conference on Friday, detailing the latest developments in the investigation of Anmol alias Pinky, a highly wanted suspect involved in drug trafficking. According to AIG Khan, police uncovered foreign involvement in Anmol's drug network and confirmed that some Lahore-based women were also part of the criminal ring.

The case gained attention after a video surfaced on May 12 showing Anmol being produced before a judicial magistrate (South) in Karachi without handcuffs and under special protocol. Police later revealed that Anmol had been absconding in 10 different cases, with weapons, cocaine, and other drugs worth approximately Rs1.5 million recovered from her custody.

During the press conference, AIG Khan informed attendees that the drug network included six African nationals and female suspects based in Lahore. He Anmol was arrested from the Garden police jurisdiction and had 1.5 kilograms of cocaine and seven kilograms of chemical material seized along with a pistol during the operation. Further narcotics were recovered during a raid conducted at her old residence in the Sachal area.

AIG Khan emphasized that negligence during court production led to action against responsible officers, while further investigations are ongoing. Teams have been formed under the supervision of the Sindh police chief and coordinated with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and cybercrime authorities. Forensic examination of Anmol's mobile phone revealed 869 contacts, including 132 Karachi-based numbers, and financial records showed transactions worth Rs300 million.

According to AIG Khan, Anmol had been active since 2014 and began operations in Karachi from 2018. The chief facilitation networks are being traced nationwide, with authorities preparing to place the names of all involved individuals on the Exit Control List as the probe continues.
