Senior Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Senator Anusha Rehman chaired a meeting to review digital connectivity in education sector aimed at enabling e-learning facilities across Punjab.

Senior Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab, Senator Anusha Rehman, recently convened a meeting to assess the current status of digital connectivity within the educational institutions of Punjab. Her aim was to facilitate the provision of e-learning opportunities for students throughout the province. Speaking during the meeting held on Thursday in Lahore, Senator Rehman emphasized the necessity of upgrading internet services in schools, colleges, and universities to align with modern educational needs.

She highlighted that all educational institutions should be equipped with high-speed broadband networks to keep pace with technological advancements and ensure access to students. Senator Rehman stressed that the Punjab government under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is committed to providing high-speed internet access in schools, colleges, and universities across the province. This initiative involves steps being taken by the Punjab IT department to enhance digital infrastructure within educational institutions.

Senator Rehman also mentioned that satellite connectivity facilities are planned for remote and underserved areas of the province, further advancing Punjab's digital advancement and reforms. The meeting was attended through video link by Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, along with MPA and Chairman PHA Ghazali Saleem Butt, Additional Secretary Reforms School Education Hafiz Irfan, Deputy Secretary (Universities) Usman Ibrahim, Director Colleges Lahore Ahsan Mukhtar, and DPI Syed Ansar Abbas.

Punjab is making rapid progress towards digital advancement and reforms. Senator Rehman satellite connectivity facilities are being developed for schools, colleges, and universities in remote areas to ensure equitable access to technology. This initiative underscores the government's dedication to bridging the digital divide and ensuring all students have equal opportunities to benefit from modern educational tools and resources.
