More than 30 licensed childcare centers are being established in Makkah and Madinah to support pilgrims' families and seasonal workers during this year's Hajj season.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has launched more than 30 licensed childcare centers in Makkah and Madinah during the upcoming Hajj season, aiming to provide essential support for pilgrims’ families and seasonal field workers. These centers will help ensure that children of those participating in the religious pilgrimage have a safe and nurturing environment while their parents or guardians are away.
The initiative underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to ensuring the well-being of all visitors to the holy sites during this significant Islamic event. The childcare facilities, which adhere to strict health and safety standards, will offer care for infants and young children from families of pilgrims as well as workers in the Hajj-related industries who may not have access to reliable child-care options.
"This move is part of our ongoing efforts to make the Hajj experience more comfortable and convenient for all participants," said a spokesperson for the Ministry. "We are dedicated to ensuring that every visitor can focus on their spiritual journey without worrying about basic needs such as childcare."
The centers will be supervised by trained staff who will provide quality care, educational activities, and meals for the children. They aim to create a welcoming environment where families feel secure while they perform their religious duties.
This development marks an important step in enhancing the overall experience of Hajj pilgrims and their dependents, contributing to a more inclusive and supportive atmosphere during this time of global significance.
