Security forces neutralize eleven terrorists from Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan, K-P. President Zardari and PM Shehbaz Sharif pay tribute to the security forces.

Security forces have successfully neutralized eleven members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), including those from the splinter group Fitna-al-Khawarij, in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in North Waziristan district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P). According to a statement by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), forces engaged multiple Khwarij locations within 48 hours in the Datta Khel area, resulting in intense and fierce exchanges of fire. The operation effectively neutralized eleven Khwarij members who were actively involved in terrorist activities.

Following the successful IBO, sanitization operations are underway to eliminate any remaining terrorists holed up in the area. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the security forces on Sunday for their successful operation. The President the war against terrorism will continue until it is completely eradicated from the country, while PM Shehbaz highlighted the professionalism displayed by the security forces.

In a related development, K-P police, Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), local peace committees, and security forces carried out an operation in Barkzai Akhundkhel area of Bannu district's Miryan Tehsil on Saturday. The operation resulted in the neutralization of at least 25 terrorists, including a TTP commander. Intense fire was exchanged as soon as the operation began, leading to heavy clashes that lasted several hours. During the exchange, one police official and a retired Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were martyred.

The situation remained tense with fear and panic among local residents due to the ongoing security operations. The Bannu police demonstrated bravery and professionalism, inflicting significant damage on a major militant network. Additionally, on Saturday, at least nine terrorists were eliminated during a fierce gun battle in Quetta's outskirts, where four CTD personnel also lost their lives.

These operations underscore the government’s commitment to eradicating terrorism from the country under the vision of "Azm-e-Istehkam." The relentless counter-terrorism campaign will continue at full pace, ensuring that foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism is completely wiped out.
