Pakistan has been fined and lost World Test Championship points for a slow over-rate in the first Test against Bangladesh.
Match referee Jeff Crowe imposed the sanction on the Pakistan team after they failed to meet the required over-rate.
The first Test between Bangladesh and Pakistan ended on May 12, 2026, at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
The Pakistan team was found to be eight overs short of the required rate, resulting in the fine and loss of WTC points.
The fine and point deduction will affect Pakistan's standings in the World Test Championship.
