A World Bank team reviews rehabilitation works at the Sukkur Barrage, assessing progress under SBIP S1 contract.

A World Bank implementation support mission recently visited the Sukkur Barrage to evaluate the ongoing rehabilitation efforts under the SBIP S1 contract. The mission, led by Task Team Leader Francois Onimus, included environmental and social safeguard specialists Alfanso and Imran ul Haque.

The team inspected various aspects of the project, focusing on the progress made so far. The SBIP S1 contract is a critical component of larger efforts to enhance water management in Pakistan.

During their inspection, the World Bank team met with local stakeholders and reviewed project documentation.
