President Asif Ali Zardari recently called for collective efforts to "strengthen the hands of the establishment," emphasizing political stability, economic self-reliance, and institutional strength as essential components for steering Pakistan forward. Addressing a public gathering in Moro city of Sindh's Naushahro Feroze district during his visit to the residence of Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar, President Zardari highlighted the need for both state and institution strengthening while focusing on long-term economic progress and public welfare.
"We will together strengthen the hands of the establishment, strengthen our own hands, and strengthen the country," President Zardari stated. He "running the country is the real challenge" and underscored the importance of providing people with economic empowerment through modern agricultural technology adoption. The president stressed Pakistan's need to ensure food self-sufficiency and bolster its economy for greater stability and resilience.
Zardari elaborated on ongoing efforts aimed at improving agriculture, increasing per-acre yield, raising incomes, and enhancing living standards. He the government was aware of public economic hardships and was working through policies designed to generate long-term benefits for future generations. Additionally, he highlighted projects linked to Gwadar as expected to bring positive economic change not only to Balochistan but also to Pakistan as a whole.
During his speech, President Zardari also reflected on recent events with India, stating that Pakistan had taught "a lesson" to India during the week-long conflict. He mentioned that when Indian aircraft were shot down, they came to their senses, adding that Pakistan had downed "those eight aircraft that had dropped bombs on innocent Pakistanis."
Regarding his party's political direction, Zardari assured that the Pakistan Peoples Party would continue to work within the framework of the 1973 Constitution while taking steps aimed at empowering citizens.
