Secretary Local Government, Abdul Rauf Baloch, has ordered all available resources to be utilized for the transparent completion of development projects. He urged officers to remain present in the field, ensure strict monitoring of schemes, and maintain uncompromising standards of quality in all public-interest projects. The meeting was held under his chairmanship at a departmental sub-committee meeting on development.
Addressing the participants, Abdul Rauf Baloch highlighted that the Balochistan government prioritizes the provision of basic facilities to citizens, the activation of municipal institutions, and the timely completion of development projects. He directed officials to accelerate work on all Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) 2025-26 schemes urgently to ensure their completion within the stipulated timeframe.
Baloch emphasized that transparency, quality, and speed must be guaranteed in all projects, warning that negligence or delays would not be tolerated. He further stressed the need to make municipal institutions more effective, efficient, and people-friendly, thereby improving services such as sanitation, drainage, roads, street lighting, and other essential facilities across the province.
The meeting also discussed challenges faced in ongoing schemes and explored immediate solutions. Officials were instructed to accelerate their pace of work to deliver results that meet the expectations of the people of Balochistan.
Previously, a labourer was applying decorative designs to a cement pillar at his roadside workplace area, while an auto-rickshaw driver used his foot to propel his vehicle forward after running low on fuel while traveling along Bosan Road.
