Saudi Arabia has imposed heavy fines of up to SAR100,000 for individuals involved in transporting pilgrims without permits during this year's Hajj season.

The Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia has announced strict penalties against those found engaging in illegal Hajj transport. These measures include hefty fines reaching SAR100,000, imprisonment, and deportation. The move comes as part of efforts to ensure safety and compliance with regulations during the upcoming 1447 AH Hajj season.

The Ministry emphasized that all pilgrims must travel through officially licensed transportation providers who adhere to strict health and security protocols. Failure to comply could result in severe legal consequences, underscoring Saudi Arabia's commitment to maintaining order and protecting visitors to the holy sites.

This new policy underscores the importance of adhering to Hajj regulations for both local and international pilgrims. It is hoped that these stringent measures will prevent any incidents during this year’s pilgrimage season and ensure a safe journey for all participants.

Previously, authorities had issued warnings about the risks associated with unlicensed transport services. The fines are intended not only as punishment but also as a deterrent to discourage such practices in future years.
