The Pakistan Sports Board has initiated administrative reforms to improve ease of doing sports governance and facilitate athletes and national federations.

The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has taken immediate steps to streamline its operations, aiming to enhance the process of sports governance and support athletes and national sports federations across the country. On the first day after assuming additional responsibilities as Director General, Secretary Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani directed a simplification in the size of affiliation proformas for National Sports Federations.

According to officials, the revised format has been made more concise, practical, and user-friendly while ensuring transparency and compliance with governance requirements. Additionally, the No Objection Certificate (NOC) proforma and related documentation for athletes and federations traveling abroad have also been streamlined and reviewed.

These measures are expected to reduce unnecessary delays, minimize paperwork, and improve coordination between federations and the PSB. Speaking about these reforms, Secretary Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani the objective was to promote athlete-centered governance, reduce bureaucratic hurdles, enhance efficiency, and encourage greater participation of Pakistani athletes and federations in international sporting activities.

The Pakistan Sports Board will continue pursuing institutional reforms focused on transparency, better service delivery, digitization, and ease of access for all stakeholders involved in the sports sector.
