President Asif Ali Zardari confers civil awards on various personalities in recognition of their outstanding services across multiple fields.
President Asif Ali Zardari recently conferred civil awards on numerous individuals, including both Pakistani nationals and foreigners, at the Aiwan-e-Sadr. The investiture ceremony recognized exceptional contributions in health, education, literature, journalism, public service, research, diplomacy, sports, and economics. Attendees included First Lady Aseefa Bhutto, federal ministers, Senate chairman, parliamentarians, members of civil society, diplomats, media representatives, and a large number of people.
Among the recipients were: Shahid Khan Afridi and Awais Leghari, who received Hilal-e-Imtiaz. Attaul Haq Qasmi was honored with Nishan-e-Imtiaz (posthumously). Muhammad Ali, Asghar Nadeem Syed, late Senator Taj Haider, Moazzam Jah Ansari, Engineer Jamaluddin Ahmed, Mirza Rizwan Baig, and Muhammad Yousuf Khan were awarded Hilal-e-Imtiaz. Late Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan and Irfan-ul-Haq Siddiqui received Nishan-e-Imtiaz (posthumously). Several individuals were bestowed with Sitara-e-Shujaat for their heroic acts, including Shaheed Liaqat Ali who sacrificed his life while thwarting a suicide attack in Attock on May 13, 2026.
Other notable awards included: Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari and Professor Dr Ikram ul Haq with Hilal-e-Imtiaz. Nishan-e-Imtiaz (posthumously) was awarded to late Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan and Irfan-ul-Haq Siddiqui.
The Sitara-e-Shujaat recipients included: Sepoy Muhammad Yousaf Shaheed (posthumous) Constable Muhammad Shehryar Shaheed (posthumous) Faisal Ismail Shaheed (posthumous) Abdul Wakeel Shaheed (posthumous) Fazal Manan Shaheed (posthumous) ASI Noor Hakeem Shaheed (posthumous) Constable Zahidullah Shaheed (posthumous) Liaqat Ali Shaheed (posthumous)
Additionally, the Pride of Performance award was given to Rashid Waheed Khawaja and Zahid Ahmed. Sitara-e-Khidmat was awarded to Muhammad Saeed Sheikh, and Tamgha-e-Shujaat to Shahid Hussain.
