The police arrested two Proclaimed Offenders (POs) wanted in separate criminal cases during ongoing operations against absconders across the district, according to police sources on Thursday. The arrests took place in Attock, a city located in Pakistan's Punjab province. A team from the Attock Khurd Police conducted an operation and apprehended an "A" category proclaimed offender named Israr Nisar alias Saru. He was wanted for murder and had been at large since 2025. The suspect, identified as the son of Mohammad Saleem and a resident of Mansar in Hazro tehsil, was traced using modern technology. The police the arrest was made possible by collaboration between various departments within the Attock Khurd Police force under the supervision of Station House Officer Inspector Khanzada Shahroz. Israr Nisar was apprehended during this operation and is currently being investigated further for his alleged crimes.
In a separate operation, another proclaimed offender named Mehfooz Rashid was arrested by the Bahter police. Rashid had been wanted since 2025 in connection with theft and illegal occupation cases. The police investigations are ongoing following these arrests.
