Prime Minister's Youth Program extends modern tech training to 500-1,000 youths in Gilgit-Baltistan, focusing on IT, cloud computing, cybersecurity and AI.

The federal government has announced an expansion of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) to include high-tech training for young people in Gilgit-Baltistan. Under this initiative, approximately 500 to 1,000 youths from the region will be selected to receive comprehensive training in modern technologies such as information technology, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.

This development marks a significant step towards empowering youth in remote areas with essential skills for the digital age. The PMYP aims to bridge the technological gap between urban centers and rural regions by providing cutting-edge education that can drive economic growth and innovation.

The training program is expected to commence soon, offering participants not only theoretical knowledge but also practical experience through hands-on workshops and projects. By equipping young people with these skills, the government hopes to foster a tech-savvy workforce capable of contributing to the development of Gilgit-Baltistan’s economy and society.

This initiative comes as part of broader efforts by the federal administration to uplift marginalized communities across Pakistan. The PMYP has already been successful in several provinces, demonstrating its effectiveness in transforming lives through education and skill development.
