Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciates IBI Group's decision to establish its Pakistan Digital Economy Headquarters and expresses satisfaction with expanding B2B cooperation between Pakistan and China.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday welcomed the establishment of IBI Group's Pakistan Digital Economy Headquarters, praising the company for its commitment to fostering digital economy collaboration. Speaking to a high-level Chinese business delegation led by Qian Xiaojun, Founder, President, and Controlling Shareholder of IBI Beijing United Technology, the Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction with the growing B2B cooperation between Pakistan and China.

Sharif highlighted the historic ties between Pakistan and China, noting that both countries are All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partners. He commended China's progress under President Xi Jinping's leadership and indicated his anticipation for a visit to China soon. The Prime Minister emphasized the encouraging role of IBI in promoting digital economy cooperation, investment facilitation, and industrial collaboration.

Qian Xiaojun expressed confidence in Pakistan’s economic prospects, stating that IBI aims to assist in building a digital backbone for the country's economic transformation. He establishing the Digital Economy Headquarters would serve as a command center for this process, offering significant opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by providing them with access to a vast Chinese market.

The delegation was visiting Pakistan as part of follow-up efforts from the Pakistan-China B2B Investment Conference held in Beijing last September during the Prime Minister's visit. Attendees included Federal Minister for Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, and other senior officials.
