Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, has the government is committed to ensuring timely payment of salaries to journalists. Speaking in the National Assembly on Friday, he emphasized that journalists are a vital part of society and deserve fair treatment. "Journalists belong to the working class and their fundamental right is the timely receipt of their salaries," Dr Fazal Chaudhry said.
The minister's remarks come amidst growing concerns about delayed payments in the media sector. According to him, the government has been actively working towards implementing policies that will guarantee prompt disbursement of wages to all employees, including journalists. "We are making every effort to ensure that journalists receive their salaries on time," he added.
