Residents of Rawalpindi and Islamabad marked the three-day Eidul Azha festival with religious fervor, community spirit, and family fun across various parks and recreational venues.

Eidul Azha was celebrated with religious zeal and joy across Rawalpindi and Islamabad as residents observed the Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), distributed sacrificial meat, and hosted relatives and guests. The three-day festival saw families flock to parks and recreational areas in the evenings, where children and adults enjoyed a variety of leisure activities.

As evening approached, families gathered at Ayub National Park, Jinnah Park, Joyland, and other Army Heritage Foundation-operated venues. Children eagerly collected crisp banknotes from relatives during the customary exchange of Eidi, while they spent their allowances on amusement rides like roller coasters, Discovery swings, and jumping castles.

Women prepared lavish breakfasts and festive meals in the mornings before joining their families at outdoor locations later in the day. Visitors enjoyed refreshments and family gatherings at various parks and open-air sites. Despite rising living costs, heads of households spent generously to ensure their children's wishes were fulfilled during this special holiday.

"Children wanted to visit the park, so we brought them here and everyone is enjoying themselves," said Mahmood, a resident who took his family out for the day. Large crowds were reported at Ayub National Park and other recreational sites throughout the evening hours.

However, access to Allama Iqbal Park on Double Road near Cricket Stadium Road and Pak-Australia Food Street was restricted due to a one-day cricket match and practice activities. Despite this limitation, the overall spirit of community and celebration remained intact as residents embraced the festive atmosphere with open hearts and minds.
