DPM Dar directs Pakistan's UAE envoy to enhance expatriate welfare and strengthen people-to-people ties between the two countries.

Minister of State for Defence Policy (DPM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi directed the Pakistani ambassador in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to further facilitate the welfare of expatriates while promoting stronger people-to-people linkages. During his meeting with the envoy, DPM Dar emphasized the positive role played by the Pakistani community in the UAE and underscored the importance of ensuring their well-being.

The minister’s directive comes as part of efforts to foster closer diplomatic relations between Pakistan and the UAE. By focusing on expatriate welfare, Qureshi aims to create a more conducive environment for both locals and foreigners residing in the UAE. This move is expected to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation between the two communities.

The envoy was briefed on various initiatives that can be taken to improve services for Pakistani nationals working or living abroad. These include better visa processing times, improved healthcare facilities, and enhanced communication channels with embassies and consulates. Qureshi also encouraged the ambassador to explore new avenues for cultural exchange programs and educational opportunities for expatriates.

This directive is part of a broader strategy aimed at strengthening Pakistan-UAE ties through people-to-people interactions. By addressing the needs of expatriate communities, DPM Dar hopes to build stronger bonds between the two nations, contributing positively to regional stability and prosperity.
