District Health Officer (DHO) South Waziristan Upper, Dr. Abdullah Khan, has reiterated his commitment to providing timely and quality healthcare services to the tribal population. Speaking during a meeting with former Paramedics Association president Riaz Khan Burki and Tariq Rehman Mehsud, Dr. Khan highlighted that improving medical facilities in remote areas is a top priority for the government.
Dr. Khan emphasized that the health department is utilizing all available resources to enhance healthcare services in South Waziristan Upper. He efforts are being made to activate basic health units in remote regions and ensure the availability of essential medicines. Additionally, he noted improvements in staff attendance at medical facilities.
During the meeting, Dr. Khan also discussed public welfare issues related to healthcare centers and patient complaints. He assured participants that strict monitoring systems have been implemented to address these concerns. He warned against any negligence or poor service delivery, stressing the importance of professional conduct from doctors, paramedical staff, and other health workers.
Dr. Abdullah Khan further announced that all recruitments in the health department will be conducted strictly on merit to promote competent and trained candidates.
