Deputy Commissioner Kohat Muhammad Nawaz Wazir directs anti-dengue measures, urging departments to accelerate prevention and awareness campaigns across district.

Deputy Commissioner Kohat Muhammad Nawaz Wazir chaired a high-level meeting on Tuesday to review emergency measures against the Dengue Virus. The meeting aimed at intensifying efforts to prevent and contain the spread of the disease. All relevant departments were directed to speed up their prevention and awareness campaigns, according to a statement from the district administration.

Officials from the district administration, health, education, and municipal departments attended the meeting. Authorities briefed participants on available medicines, spraying equipment, and ongoing field operations aimed at controlling the Dengue Virus. The Deputy Commissioner informed attendees that anti-dengue activities were already underway in various areas of the district, and efforts to raise public awareness would be expanded.

Specifically, Wazir directed officials to display awareness banners in mosques, union councils, and government offices. He also emphasized the importance of cleaning water tanks and educating schoolchildren about dengue prevention during morning assemblies. Assistant commissioners were instructed to launch special awareness campaigns in their respective areas and ensure coordinated action among all departments.

The Deputy Commissioner appealed to citizens to cooperate with health teams by participating collectively in efforts to eliminate Dengue. This collaborative approach, he emphasized, was crucial for achieving the goal of curbing the spread of the virus effectively.
