Azerbaijani Justice Minister Farid Ahmadov arrives in Pakistan for a two-day visit focusing on strengthening bilateral legal and judicial cooperation.
The Minister of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Farid Ahmadov, arrived in Pakistan on a two-day official visit along with a high-level delegation. The visit was undertaken at the invitation of Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar and organized by the Ministry of Law and Justice, Pakistan as part of efforts to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the legal and judicial sectors between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
During his stay, Ahmadov toured important national landmarks such as the Lok Virsa Museum and the Pakistan Monument. At the Lok Virsa Museum, he was briefed on Pakistan's rich cultural heritage, traditions, and regional diversity. The delegation also paid tribute to heroes and martyrs of Pakistan by laying a floral wreath at the Pakistan Monument.
Ahmadov met with the Chief Justice of Pakistan during his visit to the Supreme Court, discussing matters related to judicial and legal cooperation, institutional linkages, and issues of mutual interest. They also visited the Federal Constitutional Court where discussions were held regarding judicial systems, legal reforms, and cooperation between legal institutions of both countries.
The Azerbaijani delegation further visited the National Assembly of Pakistan and witnessed its proceedings. Members warmly welcomed the distinguished guests during this session. Subsequently, Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar accompanied them to the National Assembly Museum where he briefed them on the constitutional, parliamentary, and democratic history of Pakistan.
The visit reflects the enduring friendship and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Azerbaijan and is expected to further strengthen cooperation in the legal, judicial, and institutional spheres. This trip underscores the commitment of both nations to enhance their mutual understanding and collaboration in these critical areas.
