At least three people were killed and 24 others injured in various incidents of roof collapses, falling walls, trees, and other rain-related accidents across Punjab during the past 24 hours. The incidents occurred amid heavy rain and strong winds that swept through the region, causing significant damage.

In Dera Ghazi Khan, at least three persons sustained injuries in two separate incidents of lightning strikes. A Rescue 1122 spokesperson reported this on Friday. Meanwhile, a child was killed and nine people injured in Faisalabad due to collapsing walls, roofs, and falling trees caused by stormy winds and rain.

The deceased child, identified as 13-year-old Haider Ali, died in a wall collapse incident at Sultan Chowk. In Jhang, a person was injured after a signboard collapsed due to strong winds and rain. Four people sustained injuries in Muzaffargarh following incidents involving falling trees, solar panels, and walls.

In Nankana Sahib, a person was injured when a wall collapsed due to severe weather conditions. Two people were killed and six others injured in Lahore during the same period. These incidents involved falling trees, sheds, and billboards caused by strong winds and rain. Near Lorry Adda Badami Bagh in Lahore, a tree fell, resulting in the death of 50-year-old Ejaz and injury to another person.

In another incident near Rang Mahal, a shed collapsed, killing 21-year-old Bilal. A separate incident in Lahore also left one person injured after a billboard collapsed. All the injured were provided immediate first aid and shifted to nearby hospitals. The spokesperson urged citizens to immediately dial 1122 in case of any emergency.

The rescue team has been working tirelessly to provide assistance to those affected by these incidents, ensuring that victims receive timely medical care and support. Authorities are also advising residents to take necessary precautions during such weather conditions to avoid further accidents.
