Pakistan's rupee appreciated by 01 paisa against US dollar in interbank trading, closing at Rs 278.66 today. The Pakistani rupee gained 01 paisa against the US dollar on Tuesday, ending the day at Rs 278.66 after closing at Rs 278.67 the previous day, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP). The buying and selling rates for the dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 279 and Rs 279.70 respectively. The price of the euro against the rupee decreased by 0.84 paisa and closed at Rs 327.26, compared to the previous day's close of Rs 328.10, as reported by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The Japanese yen depreciated by 01 paisa to settle at Rs 1.76, while the exchange rate for the British pound fell by 2.60 paisa and closed at Rs 376.45 from the previous day's close of Rs 379.05. The exchange rates for other currencies remained stable: the emirate dirham settled at Rs 75.87, while the Saudi riyal declined by 01 paisa to end at Rs 74.27.
