Meanwhile, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi has strongly condemned the arrest of Junaid Akbar Khan and other party parliamentarians in Gilgit-Baltistan. Speaking to the media, Afridi warned that if the detained leaders were not released immediately, he would personally travel to Gilgit-Baltistan to confront the administration. Afridi termed the arrest a blatant attempt to suppress political voices and undermine the democratic process. He emphasized that such coercive measures erode public trust in institutions and hinder sustainable political stability.
The Chief Minister's come as tensions rise ahead of the elections.
