Punjab’s Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafique recently conducted a visit to Jaranwala to inspect the progress of the Eid-ul-Azha cleanliness operations under the “Suthra Punjab” initiative. This move was in line with instructions from Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, who has been emphasizing the importance of maintaining public hygiene during religious festivals.

The minister highlighted the significance of a clean environment for the community’s health and well-being, especially as they prepare for the upcoming festival. The “Suthra Punjab” campaign aims to create awareness about cleanliness and hygiene among residents, encouraging them to participate actively in maintaining public spaces. According to Rafique, this initiative not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the town but also contributes significantly to public health during festive seasons.

In his remarks, the minister emphasized that the government’s commitment to cleanliness is unwavering and would continue to be a priority across all regions of Punjab. He assured the local community that any necessary resources or support for further improvement in sanitation will be provided promptly.
