The Pakistan High Commission Singapore commemorated the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq with a dignified ceremony in Singapore, highlighting Pakistan's resolve and unity.
The Pakistan High Commission Singapore marked the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq on Friday with a solemn event attended by members of the Pakistani community, friends of Pakistan, and officials from the High Commission. Speaking at the occasion, High Commissioner Rabia Shafiq emphasized that Marka-e-Haq symbolizes Pakistan's unwavering resolve in the face of aggression.
She Pakistan's response during challenging times showcased the professionalism and preparedness of its Armed Forces, as well as the unity and strength of the nation. Messages from President Muhammad Arif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif underscored this same spirit of resilience.
High Commissioner Shafiq highlighted Pakistan’s capability to defend its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national interests against any threat while maintaining a commitment to peace, restraint, diplomacy, and regional stability. She stated, "We believe in dialogue, diplomacy, and resolving disputes through justice and mutual respect. Any threat to our homeland will be met with national unity, unshakeable resolve, and strength."
She also acknowledged the contributions of the Pakistani community in Singapore for promoting Pakistan's positive image abroad, noting that this year marks 60 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Singapore.
The ceremony concluded with prayers for peace, stability, and prosperity.
In a separate development, thousands of Pakistani pilgrims offered Friday prayers at Masjid al-Haram in Saudi Arabia, while the rupee gained one paisa against the US dollar.
