Chairman Piyass International, Rana Imran Latif, has issued a strong statement condemning drug peddlers such as Anmol (Pinky), describing them as a significant threat to Pakistan's young generation and national security. In a press release, he emphasized that these individuals have become a national issue, damaging the country's soft image.
Latif highlighted Piyass International’s commitment to combating drugs through its core focus areas of Human Rights Advocacy and promoting Drug Free Pakistan. He the organization has been actively working against drug-related issues for several years.
In reference to the recent arrest of Anmol (Pinky) in an allegedly unprofessional manner, Latif expressed deep concern. "It is unacceptable that a person involved in such activities should be treated with such disregard," he stated. Piyass International strongly condemned this handling and called for a Judicial Commission or Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to conduct a transparent inquiry into the matter.
Latif reiterated his demand for a high-level investigation into those responsible for the arrest of Anmol (Pinky). He emphasized that police should be held accountable in such cases. "The public, especially vulnerable communities, have become increasingly concerned about the treatment of drug peddlers," Latif added.
