District and Sessions Court in Islamabad hears details of suspect Umar Hayat's confession to TikToker Sana Yousaf's murder, including key evidence recovered.

Investigation Officer Fakhar Abbas informed the District and Sessions Court of Islamabad on Friday about the confession made by main suspect Umar Hayat in the murder case of TikToker Sana Yousaf. The officer detailed how Hayat had confessed to the killing before a magistrate and assisted police in recovering crucial evidence linked to the crime.

During the proceedings, Abbas submitted details of the investigation through Prosecutor Naveed Hussain. He informed the court that Umar Hayat was arrested outside his residence in Jaranwala, where investigators also recovered a mobile phone from his possession. According to Abbas, Hayat later brought investigators to Islamabad and identified a pistol allegedly used in the murder.

The weapon was subsequently recovered during the investigation. Additionally, Hayat pointed out the location from which a rental car had been hired, leading investigators to trace the vehicle. The court learned that Umar Hayat had already been identified through an identification parade. At his own request, Abbas recorded Hayat's confessional statement before a magistrate, where he admitted to the murder of Sana Yousaf.

Investigators also informed the court about fingerprints collected from glass installed on the door of Sana Yousaf’s room matching those of Umar Hayat, as per a NADRA report. The officer WhatsApp conversations between the accused and the victim were part of the investigation record.

The confession provided significant insights into the crime, including details of the rental car used in the murder and the location where it was hired. These revelations have bolstered the case against Umar Hayat, who remains a key suspect in Sana Yousaf's murder.
