AS-level maths second paper leak confirmed by IBCC; Cambridge International Education (CIE) declares invalid and retake required. Students can be seen in an examination hall in Karachi during Cambridge exams on April 26, 2021. According to Geo News, the mathematics paper (9709/5), scheduled to start at 2pm, was already shared on social media before the exam. IBCC Executive Director Dr Ghulam Ali Mallah confirmed the breach, describing repeated leaks of Cambridge papers as "regrettable." He stated that the examination body had so far failed to prevent such incidents. The second paper of AS-level mathematics under Cambridge International Education (CIE) was leaked on Monday. Cambridge has also initially confirmed the paper leak and described it as unfortunate. The AS-level mathematics paper (9709/12), which was previously declared invalid after a separate leak incident, had been distributed without authorization before the examination. According to officials, affected candidates will be required to retake the paper, with a replacement examination scheduled for June 9 under the official Cambridge examination timetable. Dr Mallah emphasized that such leaks continue to be regrettable and expressed hope that the body would find ways to prevent them in the future.
