At least 16 people were killed and 23 others injured in a series of tragic incidents that gripped different areas of Balochistan over the past two days. A motorcycle collision near Kharari checkpost in Wandar resulted in four fatalities and one injury. The victims identified as Sajid Ali, Niaz, Osama, and Azam lost their lives.
In another incident, two individuals drowned while swimming in the Konraj River in the hilly Wandar region; they were recognized as Sajjad Hassan Khaskheli and Sarfraz Khaskheli. A speeding vehicle overturned on the Makran Coastal Highway near Kund Malir, claiming one life and injuring four others—Aamir, Raqeeb, Jehanzeb, and Ehsan.
In Khuzdar’s La Khuriyan area, a car crash led to the deaths of four people. In Qilla Saifullah's Molvi Bakhtiar Adda, three individuals lost their lives in a firing incident stemming from longstanding enmity between groups. Another two people were killed and four injured by gunfire in Gulistan; Dilawar and Syed Noor were among those who died.
Muhammad Baksh was killed in a firing incident in the Basima area. In Sui, Dera Bugti, unidentified armed motorcyclists hurled a hand grenade at the guest house of local contractor Amanullah, injuring two people. Four individuals sustained injuries in a clash between two groups in Dera Murad Jamali.
In Nasirabad, four more were injured due to a land dispute-related conflict. Similarly, an armed clash between two Sakhi tribe groups in Mat Thakrani area of Jhal Magsi left four people hurt. These incidents underscore the ongoing challenges of road safety, law and order, and tribal disputes that continue to plague Balochistan.
