Kaghan Valley attracts a large number of tourists during Eidul Azha with over 130,000 visitors in three days, facilitated by the reopening of Babusar Top Road.

The Kaghan Valley has witnessed an influx of tourists during the Eidul Azha celebrations, with over 130,000 visitors flocking to the area in just three days. The recently reopened Babusar Top Road, which was closed for seven months due to heavy snowfall and glaciers, has been a major draw for tourists from across the country. This road closure had previously made it difficult for locals and tourists to travel to Gilgit, but its restoration has now facilitated shorter and more convenient journeys.

The Kaghan Development Authority has taken steps to ensure that tourists have a smooth and enjoyable experience in the valley. Director General Rehmat Ali Wazir has announced that staff leaves were cancelled during Eidul Azha to cope with the large number of visitors. Additionally, tourist facilitation centres have been established in various areas, including Hussamabad, Kaghan, and Naran, to provide guidance and support to tourists. The tourism police and traffic police are also working together to control the flow of traffic and prevent any congestion.

On the second day of Eid, a record 74,000 tourists entered the Kaghan Valley, contributing to the total of 130,000 visitors over the three-day period. The pleasant weather, picturesque views, and fresh atmosphere of the valley have made it an attractive destination for tourists. The large number of visitors is a testament to the valley's natural beauty and its potential as a major tourist destination.

The reopening of the Babusar Top Road has been a significant factor in the increase in tourist numbers, as it has made it easier for people to access the valley. The road closure had previously deterred many tourists, but now that it is open, the valley is once again attracting large numbers of visitors. As the tourism industry in the area continues to grow, it is likely that the Kaghan Valley will become an even more popular destination for tourists in the future.
