Turkish space tech firm Plan‑S has successfully launched four new Connecta IoT satellites aboard SpaceX’s Falcon 9 during the Transporter‑14 mission. These additions expand the company’s low-Earth orbit network to 17 active satellites, strengthening global Internet of Things connectivity, especially in agriculture, energy, logistics, and infrastructure sectors.

The upgraded constellation increases data processing capacity and service quality, enhancing data collection frequency by 40% and offering gigabit-speed access through its satellite IoT network. Crucially, Plan‑S engineers developed the onboard IoT antennas and orientation systems in-house, boosting technological independence and reducing manufacturing costs.

These strides mark a major leap toward Plan‑S’s 2030 vision: building a global satellite IoT network with hundreds of satellites, delivering dependable, low-energy, and cost-effective connectivity in regions beyond traditional terrestrial networks.
