Sri Lankan Stocks Record Fourth Consecutive Week of Gains

Sri Lankan equities extended their winning streak to a fourth week on Friday, propelled higher by gains in the information technology sector.

The CSE All Share index concluded the session with a 0.33% increase, settling at 15851.74.

Nation Lanka Finance and Lake House Printers and Publishers led the percentage gains on the CSE All Share for the day, soaring by 100% and approximately 22%, respectively.

Trading volume on the CSE All Share index decreased to 77.3 million shares, down from 124.8 million in the previous session.

Turnover in the equity market experienced an increase, reaching 5.90 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($19.7 million), compared to 2.38 billion rupees in the prior session, according to data from the exchange.

Foreign investors became net sellers, divesting stocks worth 1.30 billion rupees, while domestic investors emerged as net buyers, acquiring shares valued at 4.69 billion rupees, as indicated by the data.
