Karachi: Clashes between police and demonstrators protesting against US and Israeli actions in Iran led to injuries for at least five people outside the US consulate in Karachi on Sunday, according to rescue officials. The protesters, gathered on MT Khan Road, attempted to breach the consulate’s perimeter, throwing stones. Police responded with tear gas to disperse the crowd. Those injured were transported to nearby hospitals. Security forces have increased their presence in the vicinity to maintain order. The protest caused significant traffic disruptions, with several routes around the consulate closed or diverted, leading to widespread congestion.
