Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has arrived in London from Belarus and is expected to stay for a couple of weeks. His arrival was marked by a rally of PML-N activists in support outside the Avenfield flats.

Sharif touched down at Luton Airport around noon. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also in London. He is scheduled to return to Pakistan on Sunday night to participate in the Overseas Pakistanis Convention held in Islamabad.

PML-N UK leaders, including Ahsan Dar, were present to welcome Nawaz at the airport.

Prior to Sharif’s arrival, there were verbal exchanges between supporters of PTI and PML-N outside the Park Lane flats. A large number of PML-N supporters gathered to welcome Nawaz, while PTI activists protested. Police intervened to keep the two groups separated. Upon arrival, Nawaz did not address the media.

Before departing for Pakistan, PM Shehbaz will meet with his brother Nawaz at the Avenfield flats.

On Friday, PM Shehbaz mentioned that Belarus had made a “generous offer” to invite over 150,000 young and skilled Pakistani workers to contribute to the nation-building efforts in Belarus.

The Prime Minister, along with Nawaz and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, was on an official visit to Belarus at the invitation of President Lukashenko.
