Iran has confirmed the receipt of a letter from U.S. President Donald Trump, delivered by Anwar Gargash, the diplomatic adviser to the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The letter proposes new negotiations concerning Iran’s nuclear program.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi acknowledged the delivery, stating that he hosted Gargash in Tehran, during which the letter was handed over.

Despite this outreach, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei dismissed the proposal, labeling it a “deception” and expressing skepticism about the U.S. intentions behind the offer.

This development occurs amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, following the U.S. withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear agreement and the reimposition of sanctions on Iran. The international community continues to monitor the situation closely, given its potential implications for regional stability and global security.
