Inter Milan’s Kit Choice for Champions League Final

Inter Milan is set to wear a golden yellow kit in their upcoming Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in Munich this Saturday. This event will only be the third time they’ve used such a kit in a significant match.

Notably, Inter has never utilized their third kit in any previous high-profile final. They have competed in six Champions League finals and six European Cup finals, with their initial appearance dating back to 1964.

Since PSG is designated as the home team for the final, they possess the privilege to select their primary kit. They have opted for navy blue shorts and shirts, accentuated with a white and red stripe at the center. This decision prevents Inter from using their signature black and blue striped jerseys.

Instead of choosing their alternative white shirts with blue detailing, the Italian side has favored their third kit. This kit features a golden yellow shirt complemented by black accents and black shorts.

This selection might be influenced by superstition. Simone Inzaghi’s team secured victories in both of their European elite club competition games while sporting yellow this season. These include a 1-0 triumph at Sparta Prague in January and a 2-0 victory in the first leg of the last-16 against Feyenoord in March.

Conversely, their sole defeat in this season’s Champions League occurred against Bayer Leverkusen when they were wearing white shirts in December.

Benjamin Pavard and Piotr Zielinski are slated to be included in Inter Milan’s squad for the Champions League final against PSG.
