Parking Woes in Karachi’s Saddar: A Call for Modern Solutions

Failed Precedent: The 2006 Parking Plaza

In 2006, a multi-level parking facility was established in Saddar, designed to accommodate 300 vehicles. The original concept included a shuttle service to nearby destinations, but this service never materialized.

Currently, the plaza serves only a few vehicles daily. Several cars have been abandoned for years, accumulating dust and rust, and their owners remain unidentified.

Residents believe the building has untapped potential if given appropriate attention by the authorities. One resident stated that revitalization requires dedicated focus and action.
