Iftikhar Ahmed’s Practice Video Sparks Social Media Criticism

KARACHI: Pakistani cricketer Iftikhar Ahmed has found himself at the center of controversy following a video he posted on social media showing himself practicing batting without a shirt. The post has triggered widespread criticism.

The video, which was uploaded to his official Facebook page, rapidly gained traction but also garnered negative feedback from numerous fans and followers.

Iftikhar, a veteran player with appearances in four Tests, 28 ODIs, and 66 T20 Internationals for Pakistan, boasts a total of 1,673 runs and 25 wickets across all formats of the game.

He accompanied the video with a caption indicating his preparation for the upcoming Guyana Global T20 League.

However, instead of receiving accolades, the experienced cricketer faced criticism in the comments section, with many viewers considering his actions to be inappropriate and unprofessional.

One user, Ubaid Khan, commented, “As a national team player, practicing without a shirt is simply unacceptable. Consider the youth and Pakistani society who look up to you.”

Asad Sandhu questioned Iftikhar’s batting abilities, remarking, “He struggles to execute a proper shot; that has always been a flaw.”
