Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have recommitted to expanding bilateral cooperation in artificial intelligence, semiconductor education, and digital infrastructure. This partnership builds on a progressive framework aimed at boosting Pakistan’s digital economy and aligning with global tech trends.

As part of a Rs 4.8 billion project under Pakistan’s Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), the initiative will train over 7,000 Pakistani youth in semiconductor technologies, a key component of the country’s emerging tech capabilities. This significant training effort is designed to support Pakistan’s contribution to global semiconductor value chains, leveraging the Kingdom’s rapidly advancing digital ecosystem.

Both nations emphasized collaboration under Saudi Arabia’s National Semiconductor Hub (NSH) and broader technology programs, including AI, cloud computing, and e-governance systems. Engineering synergies and training frameworks are being co-developed to strengthen knowledge transfer and create future-ready talent.

This pact complements earlier agreements, such as the shared vision at LEAP 2025 and Pakistan’s digital corridor plans with China and Central Asia, and signals Pakistan’s growing role in tech diplomacy. Aligning with Saudi Vision 2030, the agreement is expected to accelerate Pakistan’s progress in AI, cybersecurity, and digital inclusivity.

By building human capital in high-tech sectors and fostering strategic partnerships across borders, Pakistan aims to transform its digital landscape and establish itself as a competitive player in the international tech arena.
