Meta and Alibaba are joining forces to bring collaborative commerce (c‑commerce) and AI-driven innovations to Pakistan, signaling a major leap in the country’s tech and retail landscape.
The partnership focuses on creating AI-powered tools that will aid merchants in content creation, translation, customer engagement, and logistics optimization, helping developers launch and scale local services efficiently.
Both companies plan to pilot c-commerce platforms tightly integrated with Pakistan’s instant payment systems, enabling small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to directly sell to consumers via social and messaging apps. This integration aims to simplify transactions, boost trust, and drive financial inclusion.
Meta and Alibaba will also host training programs and workshops to equip Pakistani startups, retailers, and logistics providers with skills in AI, digital marketing, and seamless e-commerce operations.
This strategic collaboration is designed to accelerate Pakistan’s digital economic growth by empowering local merchants, enhancing export potential, and positioning the country as a regional player in AI-enabled commerce.
