Yankees Triumph Over Twins with a Four-Homer Barrage

NEW YORK: In a compelling MLB showdown at Yankee Stadium on Monday, Will Warren showcased his pitching prowess over six and two-thirds innings, while the New York Yankees relied on four solo home runs to secure a 6-2 victory against the Minnesota Twins.

Warren demonstrated control, conceding only three hits and recording seven strikeouts, marking his most impressive and extended performance since May 9. His only mistakes were solo home runs to Byron Buxton and Trevor Larnach. Otherwise, he successfully contained Minnesota’s offense. This helped the Yankees clinch just their third triumph in the past ten games.

The Yankees initiated the scoring early, as Cody Bellinger launched a two-out homer in the opening inning, his first in a dozen games. In the third inning, Giancarlo Stanton and Ben Rice followed with consecutive solo shots off Twins pitcher Zebby Matthews, extending the lead to 3-0.

Stanton’s homer was his tenth in 25 games and the 440th of his career, putting him in a tie with Jason Giambi for 44th position on the all-time home run list.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. contributed a solo homer in the eighth, and Trent Grisham along with Aaron Judge chipped in with RBI singles in the seventh. This season, the Yankees have now achieved four or more homers in a single game on thirteen occasions.

Matthews pitched five and two-thirds innings for Minnesota, allowing three runs on six hits, while recording nine strikeouts and one walk. The Twins, who had previously won four of their last five games, were limited to just three hits in the defeat.

With this victory, the Yankees now hold a 25-7 record in their last 32 regular-season encounters with Minnesota. Carlos Rodon is scheduled to pitch for New York on Tuesday night, while the Twins are anticipated to use a bullpen approach.
